Designed Training

Promotion Preparation Process (PPP):
 
Lean Management Development Systems (LDMS) provides support for this Human Resources based training process. Along with HR training activities, LMDS teaches advanced levels of LPS and LBP to Team Members and Team Leaders that have been identified for the next level. Participants will participate in a week long floor improvement activity and will make a presentation to the management team at the end of the training.
LBP Simulation

 

Lean Management Development Systems (LMDS) has designed a simulation for participants taking the certified LBP or problem solving training. Participants will complete the entire 8 steps of LBP in a simulated manufacturing area in the classroom. This activity is then applied to a floor activity the following week.

Application of Leans:
 
Class is structured to learn the fundamental principles of LPS through instruction and a “hands on” simulation. The principles covered are:  Standardization, Jidoka, Just-in-time, Kanban, Heijunka, waste identification, Kaizen and a brief overview of the Lean tools.
Material and Information Flow

 

Looks at the entire system of product flow. A standardized approach & established set of tools are taught to study & record what is actually happening as well as to describe what should be the ideal.

Lean Management
Development System

 

Participants learn to visually manage the department Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to meet Hoshin targets. They will learn the purpose of Main, Sub and Process KPIs and how daily activities by the Group Leader and Team Leader support this goal.  

Type III STW

 

This training is an extensive look at processes where there is minimal repeatability and takt time is determined by the entire shift. Type III tools are instructed and applied to a floor activity.
